J.D. McKissic Finds Pay Dirt In Lions Loss
5 years agoDetroit Lions running back J.D. McKissic led the Lions backfield in Week 9, posting 72 yards on seven touches and scoring a touchdown in the Lions loss. McKissic posted a stunning 8 YPC on the day, but the Lions were focusing more on the passing game in this one, as they have been since Kerryon Johnson (knee) was placed on IR. McKissic caught a 26-yard touchdown pass to tie the game late in the fourth quarter and salvage his day, but it was ultimately not enough as the Lions were not able to overcome a late Raiders touchdown. McKissic has seen at least three targets in two consecutive games and could turn into a useful PPR option if his involvement continues to grow. The Lions have a tough matchup against the Bears in Week 10, McKissic will slot in as a flex option for those in deeper leagues.
