4 years agoBoston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez has been reinstated from the COVID injured list after clearing protocols. He is back in the lineup on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles, starting at designated hitter and batting third. Michael Chavis was optioned to the team's alternate site to clear roster space for Martinez. Martinez is off to a hot start to the year, slashing .433/.469/.867 with two home runs and 12 RBI.
