Boston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez (COVID-19) has been placed on the COVID-19 injured list while going through COVID-19 protocols, according to Ian Browne of MLB.com. Martinez was being held out of the lineup because he was feeling ill on Saturday, and while he has been placed on the COVID-19 IL, Browne reports the team has no reason to believe he has tested positive and that he could be activated as soon as tomorrow. This seems to be a precautionary move, more to do with roster management, but managers should look for updates through the rest of the weekend to make sure Martinez returns as quickly as he's expected to.--Michael
