J.D. Martinez Blasts Three-Run Home Run Against Tigers
5 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder/designated hitter J.D. Martinez launched his second home run of the spring in Wednesday's 13-9 loss against the Tigers, as the 32-year-old went 2-for-3 to go along with three RBI, one run scored and a strikeout in the contest. Martinez has produced two home runs, four RBI, two runs scored, a .267 batting average and 1.153 OPS at the plate this spring, showing no signs of slowing down during the exhibition schedule and leading up to Opening Day. Martinez has crushed 79 home runs to go along with 235 RBI, 209 runs scored and a .317 batting average over his first two seasons as a member of the Red Sox, making the veteran power hitter an early-round draft selection across all fantasy formats as he remains a dominant force as the Red Sox clean-up hitter heading into the 2020 season.
