J.A. Happ Returns With Quality Start, Win
6 years agoFollowing his New York Yankees debut, J.A. Happ was set to pitch in Fenway Park against the Red Sox as part of a pivotal, four-game divisional set. Instead, he landed on the DL with hand, foot and mouth disease. On Thursday night, however, he finally made his second start with the Yankees and it would be a victorious one. Taking on the Texas Rangers, the 35-year-old posted a quality start, going six innings and allowing three runs while striking out nine. Happ’s start continues a recent trend of quality results from the Yankees rotation, as the club has now won four straight in the aftermath of a devastating four-game sweep in Boston.
