J.A. Happ Making Yankees Debut Sunday
6 years agoAfter being acquired via trade from the Toronto Blue Jays, J.A. Happ will make his New York Yankees debut Sunday afternoon in the Bronx against the Kansas City Royals. The 35-year-old, widely regarded as the best pitcher available before the trade deadline expires, will make his final start in the month of July, a month that has seen him record his worst numbers of the season. Happ made a start against the Royals earlier this season, surrendering four runs in six innings, but earning a win. He's made eight starts at Yankee Stadium in his career, going 4-1 with a 3.94 ERA. The Yankees find themselves five games behind the Boston Red Sox in the AL East.
