7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ has a difficult matchup against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday, but you should be starting him anyway. Coming off a scoreless 10-strikeout performance across seven innings pitched against the New York Mets last Wednesday, Happ looked like he put his seven-run outing from the start prior against the Seattle Mariners behind him. The Angels are obviously a much tougher offense than the Mets -- they rank ninth in the Majors in runs scored -- but Happ has been great against excellent offenses, too (see his start from April 24 against the Boston Red Sox when he went seven innings with one run and 10 strikeouts). Happ’s strikeout potential alone makes him a worthy fantasy candidate in this one.--John Smith
