J.A. Happ Gets Rare Quality Start In Defeat
5 years agoThe New York Yankees finally got a quality start out of a starting pitcher Tuesday night, but this time it was the offense that failed to produce. J.A. Happ went six innings and allowed three runs, but took the loss as the Arizona Diamondbacks prevailed, 4-2 in the Bronx. Happ surrendered eight hits and a walk, striking out two along the way. His night got off to a bad start with a first-inning solo home run allowed, but he managed to limit the damage. The Yankees have now lost four of five as the trade deadline nears and a move for a starting pitcher in desperate need.
