J.A. Happ Earns Quality Start And Win On Wednesday
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher J.A. Happ earned a quality start and the win in Wednesday's 10-2 rout of the Indians. Happ tossed seven strong innings, allowing just a pair of runs on four hits while fanning three batters with one walk issued. The veteran southpaw allowed a solo home run and an RBI groundout but kept the scoreboard and the bases clean besides that in another strong outing. Happ's arm looks to be fully built up, as he's now gone at least seven innings while throwing 95 pitches or more in each of his last two outings, both wins. He'll take a 1.96 ERA in 23 innings pitched into his next start on May 4 against the Rangers.
