Ivan Provorov Stays Hot With Two-Point Performance
5 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov continued his good run of form on Wednesday by collecting two points in a 5-2 road win over Washington. The Russian picked up a power-play assist on Travis Konecny's 24th goal of the season and scored the team's fourth goal himself. Kevin Hayes also had a goal and an assist in the game. Provorov now has seven points in his past eight outings, helping Philadelphia's blueline become to league's most prolific defensive unit. The Flyers d-men have accounted for a league-high 43 goals, with Montreal coming in second with 42 goals. Provorov, who has 12 goals and 35 points for the season, will look to keep up his form on Thursday when Philly will go for an eighth consecutive win against Carolina.
