Ivan Nova Allows Five Homers to Dodgers on Tuesday
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Ivan Nova became the first pitcher in Pirates history to give up five homers in a game on Tuesday. His final line was five-plus innings, nine hits, seven earned runs, five homers against, two walks and three strikeouts. Reliever Dovydas Neverauskas didn’t fare much better, as he gave up a homer on his first pitch. The Pirates pitching staff is getting absolutely hammered in this series.
