5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals catching prospect Ivan Herrera, the team's No. 4 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is expected to be on the team's taxi squad when rosters are officially announced. Herrera hit a combined .284/.374/.405 with nine home runs, 47 RBI and 48 runs scored in 87 games for Single-A Peoria and High-A Palm Beach in 2019. Because he hasn't even advance past Single-A and just turned 20 years old, it's unlikely that we see Herrera in the big leagues in the shortened 60-game 2020 season, but he's a backstop to certainly keep your eyes on in dynasty/keeper leagues. The 5-foot-11, 220-pounder is an advanced hitter for his age but will need to develop his catching skills to advance to the Show.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
