Ito Smith Sees Just Three Touches In Week 6
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Ito Smith had his best game of the year in Week 5 against the Texans, gaining a total of 64 yards on 11 touches. This week, however, he was barely involved. He didn't receive a single target in the passing game, despite earning a total of ten targets the previous two weeks. He carried the ball a total of three times in Week 6 and gained just six yards. Starting running back Devonta Freeman stole the show, gaining a total of 118 yards from scrimmage and scoring two touchdowns in his best game of the year. Smith had given hope the past few weeks that he could be a potential low-end flex start in deep leagues while Freeman is healthy, but this week was an indicator that he might be just a handcuff at best.
