Ish Smith Scores Career-High 32 Points
5 years agoWashington Wizards point guard Ish Smith had a huge night against the Nuggets on Saturday, finishing a 128-114 win with a career-high 32 points. He shot 15-for-24 from the field in 34 minutes off the bench, adding eight assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Bradley Beal (leg) missed the game, which opened up a lot of shots for his teammates. Jordan McRae got the start and was expected to shine, but it was the Wizards bench that pulled off the shock win, combining for 92 points. Smith has been on a good run in recent games, notching at least 10 points in six of his last seven outings. The next matchup isn't a pretty one against Boston, but the Nuggets have actually done even better against opposing point guards, so Smith could still end up getting his without much fuss.
