Isan Diaz Has Another Forgettable Spring Day
4 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Isan Diaz had another rough day in a Grapefruit League game against the New York Mets on Tuesday. Diaz went 0-for-3 at the plate, dropping his batting average to .071. He also forgot to pay attention to a play and almost got hit by a baseball while covering first base on a bunt play. It was ugly. It seemed like Diaz could have done almost anything this spring and still won the second base starting job. Well, anything but this. At this point, it looks like Jazz Chisholm might end up with the starting role, with Diaz ticketed for another season at Triple-A.
