Isan Diaz Gets His First Two Hits Of The Year On Sunday
4 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Isan Diaz finally got his first two hits of the season in Sunday's loss to the Washington Nationals. Diaz came into the game with a .000 batting average but ended up in the leadoff spot thanks to 2020 National League Manager of the Year Don Mattingly. Seven of the nine members of the Marlins lineup on Sunday had a batting average below .200. Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a single, ballooning his batting average to .182. He'll keep struggling at second base until Jazz Chisholm (hamstring) is able to return from the injured list.
