Isan Diaz Gets A Hit On Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Isan Diaz hit a single in Tuesday's loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, ending up 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. Diaz got his first start at third base, where he's expected to play quite a bit with infielders Brian Anderson (oblique) and Miguel Rojas (finger) on the injured list. Going 1-for-4 with a single made for one of the best games of the season for Diaz, who boosted his batting average all the way to .125 and his OPS to .478. A "power hitting" second baseman by trade, Diaz has a .219 slugging percentage and a 37 wRC+. He shouldn't be anywhere near any fantasy league rosters.
