Isaiah Thomas Heading To Denver
6 years agoThe Denver Nuggets have signed free-agent guard Isaiah Thomas. Thomas, who agreed to a one-year deal worth $2 million (veteran’s minimum), will likely come in for relief behind guard Jamal Murray and will fill a void for a team that is lacking established depth outside of the starting unit. The former All-Star had a rough 2018 season that was plagued by the infamous hip ailment in addition to off-the-court drama involving his then Cleveland teammates. He appeared in only 17 games last season with the Cavaliers and Lakers, averaging 15.6 points and five assists over 26.8 minutes per game. Though his shooting numbers leave little to be desired, he has the ability to surpass his ADP if he can stay healthy for a team that usually only allots consistent minutes to their core group. He is worth taking a gamble on if he is available in the later rounds of upcoming fantasy drafts.
