Isaiah Hartenstein Out With Fractured Hand
6 months agoOklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein has suffered a small, non-displaced fracture in his left hand and will be re-evaluated in five-to-six weeks, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. The 26-year-old big man suffered the injury in Tuesday's preseason contest against Denver. Harteinstein was set to be the Thunder's new starting center after the team brought him in over the summer as a free agent from New York. Chet Holmgren will now likely remain at the center position to start the 2024-25 campaign, while the door has opened for Alex Caruso to enter the first unit.

The Thunder could be in trouble with Chet Holmgren (hip) and Jaylin Williams (hip) also tagged as questionable for Monday. If they sit, Kenrich Williams, Branden Carlson, and Dillon Jones could all see increased roles. Between the three, Williams would be the only player worth considering as a streaming option.

Isaiah Hartenstein Sits Out Wednesday's Game
2 weeks agoOklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (back) will be inactive on Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team has downgraded him from questionable to out, as low back spasms will prevent Hartenstein from suiting up for the game. This means Chet Holmgren is expected to take on much of the frontcourt work, while Jaylin Williams and Kenrich Williams will see extra time on the court. Both players have previously excelled in similar situations and should be considered solid streaming options.

Isaiah Hartenstein Remains Out On Wednesday
2 months agoOklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) will miss a fourth straight game on Wednesday against Utah. He remains on the sidelines due to a left soleus strain Hartenstein suffered last Tuesday against Philadelphia. A day later, the team announced that Hartenstein would be re-evaluated in a week, but he isn't ready to return against the Jazz. With Hartenstein unavailable, the Thunder have operated without a natural center in the starting unit. Players like Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins have taken on bigger workloads to compensate for the loss of Hartenstein.
