Isaiah Crowell Suffers Torn Achilles
6 years agoOakland Raiders running back Isaiah Crowell suffered a torn Achilles tendon during a workout with the team on Tuesday and will likely miss the entire 2019 season, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Crowell is expected to have surgery next week. The 26-year-old had 685 yards on 143 carries with six touchdowns with the Jets in 2018. Crowell's injury means that rookie Josh Jacobs will see a considerable role in his first season with the Raiders. Jacobs was taken with the No. 24 overall pick in the first round and should have immediate fantasy value in 2019. Jalen Richard and Deandre Washington remain on the roster, but both backs profile better in the passing game.
