Isaac Paredes Scratched From Sunday's Lineup
3 months agoChicago Cubs third baseman Isaac Paredes (shoulder) was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to right shoulder discomfort, according to Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network. As a result, Patrick Wisdom will get the call to cover the hot corner and will bat in the eight-hole. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to any updates on Paredes as he may need to sit out a few days next week depending on the severity of the injury. In the meantime, Wisdom should be the favorite to see a majority of the starting opportunities at third base on the Northside. Wisdom could be a sneaky play in DFS this afternoon as he will face Toronto right-hander Bowden Francis, who has posted a 4.92 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP, bouncing between a starting role and the bullpen this summer.
