Isaac Paredes Lands On 10-Day Injured List
3 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have placed infielder Isaac Paredes (hip) on the 10-day injured list due to a right hip strain. The move is retroactive to July 20. Paredes has been dealing with the injury all week. He started Monday's game, but hasn't been able to start a game since. The Tigers called up Willi Castro to fill Paredes's roster spot. Castro is starting at first base in Thursday's game against the Texas Rangers and should see a decent amount of playing time over the next week or so. Paredes has played in 14 games for the Tigers this year and has slashed .256/.340/.410 with one home run, four RBI and four runs.
