Is Kyle Busch A DFS Recommendation For Chicago?
5 months agoRichard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch qualified 19th for this week's Grant Park 165 at the Chicago Street Course. This is exactly one position lower than his starting position in last year's race at Chicago and the fifth time in what will be seven races that Busch will start outside of the Top 10. Busch started 18th and finished fifth in his only Cup start at Chicago last season, as he was one of the few drivers that took advantage of pit strategy to gain track position. Through 19 races, Busch has 10 top-20 finishes but also failed to finish four of the last five Cup events. In practice, Busch ranked 24th in five consecutive lap averages and 21st in overall lap averages. Although Busch's history at Chicago last year seems encouraging thanks to his top-5 finish, his practice speeds and equipment do not inspire confidence that he will be a top performer this week. Despite having some potential PD upside, Busch being in one of the worst stretches of finishes and luck in his career makes it easy to recommend others as top DFS plays over him.
