Is Christopher Bell Worth Rostering For Darlington?
3 months agoChristopher Bell will start ninth in Sunday's Cookout Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. This marks the fourth time in his Cup career that Bell will start inside the Top 10 at Darlington. In 10 races at the South Carolina track, Bell has two top-10 finishes and led in four different Cup events. The No. 20 Toyota driver also won and dominated the Xfinity Series race at Darlington earlier in the weekend. Through 25 races so far in 2024, Bell has three wins, 14 top-10 finishes, and 720 laps led (third-most of all drivers). In practice, Bell ranked 33rd in overall lap averages of all drivers while ranking among the Top 10 fastest Group B drivers in 25 and 30 consecutive lap averages. Although there are more favorable DFS options around his price range, Bell is a capable driver worth having some exposure to, especially in tournament lineups, as he has equipment capable of placing in the Top 10.
