Indians Interested In Alex Verdugo
6 years agoThe Cleveland Indians are interested in Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Alex Verdugo as part of a trade that would involve starting pitcher Corey Kluber, according to a source. Verdugo is the top prospect and the Indians are in need of outfield bats, which makes these two clubs a pretty good match, as the Dodgers have a surplus of outfielders heading into 2019. Verdugo has just 100 at-bats in the majors the last two years and has hit .240/.309/.360 with two homers and five RBI. The 22-year-old hit .329 with 10 long balls and 44 RBI in 91 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City last year and would probably be a starter with Cleveland next season if he were traded.
