Colts Defense Struggles In Week 17 Loss
2 years agoWhile the Indianapolis Colts offense cannot generate enough points, their defense failed to contain the New York Giants in Week 17. They surrendered 38 points, including 24 in the second quarter. In effect, the Giants finished with 394 yards on offense, while quarterback Daniel Jones had 91 rushing yards and two touchdowns from the ground. The Colts defense also failed to register a sack and an interception, though they had four tackles for losses and two quarterback hits. Indianapolis did have a bright moment when Rodney McLeod Jr. recovered a fumble forced by Bobby Okereke after tackling Darius Slayton to open up the second half. However, the Colts should have capitalized on that opportunity when Chase McLaughlin's 48-yard field goal try went wide right. The Colts DST may perform better in Week 18 when they face the Houston Texans. Still, it's better to look for other options at DST because the Colts have been inconsistent all season.
