New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin celebrated his first career shutout on Tuesday, saving all 20 shots in a 3-0 win over Buffalo. He became the seventh rookie netminder in franchise history to post a shutout. Sorokin improved his record for the season to 1-2-1. He carries a 2.74 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage. Semyon Varlamov, who is 7-2-2 for the year with three shutouts, is the No. 1 in Long Island, but Sorokin is a highly-rated prospect who should see plenty of more game action with the schedule packed due to a shortened season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
