Ilya Sorokin Exits On Tuesday With Injury
3 days agoNew York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin (upper body) exited Tuesday's contest early against the Nashville Predators. Sorokin was not on the ice at the start of the third period. While he allowed four goals during the first two periods, Andrew Gross of Newsday reported that his absence was injury-related. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next game on Thursday evening against the New York Islanders. Before Tuesday's game, Sorokin was riding a two-game winning streak. During this streak, he stopped 55 of the 57 shots he saw. However, prior to that recent surge, he carried a 0-3 record with a high 4.16 GAA. With the Islanders falling behind in the playoff picture, the team may provide Sorokin with extra opportunities to rest.
