Washington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov took his record for the season to 7-2-1 with a 22-save performance in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Kings. The Russian youngster was only beaten by Blake Lizotte in the third. Samsonov has bounced back well after losing back-to-back starts in the middle of November. He's won two in a row after that, allowing only three goals in total. Playing on a team that rarely loses on the road is a big plus of course. Samsonov owns a perfect 5-0-0 road record with a 1.98 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
