3 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov will pick up his second start of the season in Monday's matchup versus Ottawa. The 24-year-old beat the Avalanche 6-3 with 24 saves in his first start of the campaign. Samsonov also featured in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Calgary after Vitek Vanecek was chased with three first-period goals. The Russian netminder boasts a 2.34 goals-against average for the season with a .902 save percentage.
