Igor Shesterkin Questionable For Thursday's Contest
1 year agoNew York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin (general soreness) is questionable to return for Thursday night's contest against the visiting Minnesota Wild. The Russian netminder was a full participant in Wednesday's practice but isn't certain to return against the Wild. "He doesn't have any limitations out there today," Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette said on Wednesday. "So, he's a go today, and I want to see how he responds to the day and we'll make decisions after we talk." Netminders Louie Domingue and Dylan Garand were recalled from the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday while veteran Jonathan Quick has started each of the last two games in Shesterkin's stead. The 2021-22 Vezina Trophy winner owns a 2.36 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in eight games this season and remains an elite fantasy option moving forward.
