3 weeks agoNew York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin will get the starting nod on Thursday against the Minnesota Wild. During this span, he allowed one goal or less in two games but allowed three or more in the other four. Igor Shesterkin Starting On Wednesday
1 month agoNew York goaltender Igor Shesterkin was the first goaltender off during Wednesday's morning skate, which suggests he will likely take the starter's crease on Wednesday evening when the Rangers face the Washington Capitals. Shesterkin has begun to find his footing after a rough stretch during January and February. Over his last four starts, Shesterkin has held a 3-1 record with a .939 save percentage and a 1.77 GAA. He posted a 21-save shutout in his last outing against the New York Islanders. However, before this strong stretch, Shesterkin carried a poor .817 save percentage with a hefty 4.57 GAA. Overall, the 29-year-old is on pace to have the worst season of his career but remains a must-start goaltender in all standard formats. In addition, given his recent play, he is worth considering in DFS matchups, despite facing a potent Washington offense.
