5 years agoKansas City Royals closer Ian Kennedy was at it again on Thursday as he nailed down his fifth save since the All-Star break. Kennedy was touched up for his first allowed run of the second-half of the season, but a three-pitch punch out of AJ Reed ended the Chicago comeback. Kennedy is the perfect type of attraction for a trade before the deadline except he has an albatross of a contract. Kennedy is making $12 million per year for this year and next, so he'll probably only be moved this season if KC's willing to eat some more of his contract.
