3 years agoTexas Rangers closer Ian Kennedy (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a mild left hamstring strain on Wednesday. He was unavailable for Tuesday's game against the Giants and hasn't pitched since last Friday. It's unclear exactly how much time Kennedy will miss, but fantasy managers can expect to be without the Rangers closer for at least 10 days. Josh Sborz, Brett Martin and John King could form more of a closer-by-committee for however long Kennedy is out. Sborz might be the best speculative addition if you're desperate for saves in the short term, but he's blown two saves in the last week and is sporting a 4.38 ERA and 1.21 WHIP on the season in 26 relief outings (24 2/3 innings) with 32 K's and eight walks.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
