4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Ian Kennedy recorded his seventh save of the season during the club's 5-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. The veteran reliever needed just five pitches — all strikes — to send Marwin Gonzalez, Hunter Renfroe, and Franchy Cordero packing. He has been a revelation for the Rangers in 2021 as the club lost multiple relievers to injury prior to the season including closer Jose Leclerc. Kennedy has saves in three of the last four days and he hasn't allowed a hit or a run in his last four appearances. He was roughed up in 12 games in 2020 while posting a 9.00 ERA but he saved 30 games in 2019.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
