Ian Kennedy Nails Down 28th Save
5 years agoKansas City Royals closer Ian Kennedy has certainly found his new calling. Kennedy tossed a clean inning against the White Sox on Wednesday to lock down his 28th save of the season, and that gives him six saves and a win in his last seven appearances. Kennedy has only allowed more than one earned run once since the All-Star Break, and he's picked up eight saves and two wins in the last month. He also hasn't lost a game since May. It looked like it might be a rocky transition at the start, but Kennedy has settled into his new role and looks like a new man. He'll be a solid target in drafts next season.
