Ian Kennedy Expected To Miss 5-7 Days
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Ian Kennedy (oblique) got good news on his MRI exam and is expected to miss just five to seven days with the injury being isolated to one area. Heath Fillmyer is likely to start on Sunday against the White Sox, but even in a good matchup Fillmyer is a poor streaming choice. Kennedy only missed one start when he landed on the disabled list the first time but went right back on the DL. It appears he won't miss much time this time, either. The veteran right-hander has been missing bats (8.3 K/9), but his ERA is at 5.13 and his WHIP isn't anything to write home about at 1.44. He also pitches for one of the worst teams in baseball. Nobody will be rushing to use him in the second half.
