Ian Happ Reaches Three Times in Defeat
1 year agoChicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks in a 5-0 shutout loss to the San Diego Padres on Monday. Offense was at a premium for the Cubbies on Monday as they had no answers for Blake Snell and company. Happ was the only Cub to reach three times but he never came close to scoring in this one. The 28-year-old has been quietly productive this season, slashing .271/.389/.401 to go along with four home runs, 23 RBI, and five stolen bases over 207 at-bats. He's slowed down at the dish lately and fantasy managers would like to see more in the way of home runs and RBI but the high on-base percentage and five thefts will certainly play.
