Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in a victory versus the Washington Nationals on Thursday. Happ returned from the 10-day injured list last week with bruised ribs and has looked the best he has all season. Happ is no longer leading off for the Cubs, but he is heating up with eight hits over his last 23 at-bats to go along with four home runs and six RBI. Managers who remained patient are starting to see Happ turn the corner and this could be the last call to buy-low on Happ.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ (oblique) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the New York Mets. Happ reportedly felt something in his oblique following his first plate appearance on Friday. The switch-hitter stayed in the game, but will get Saturday night off as a precaution. It wouldn't be shocking to see Happ get the weekend off, but hopefully he'll be back in the lineup soon. For now, fantasy managers should consider Happ as day-to-day until more information is available. Seiya Suzuki will cover left field and bat third versus right-hander Tylor Megill.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ had a big game in a 9-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Happ went 1-for-3 with a homer and three RBI to help power the Cubs to the win. The veteran outfielder opened up the scoring when he launched a two-run homer in the bottom of the third inning and later came back to add a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Happ is now hitting .287 with three homers, 29 runs, 19 RBI, and one steal across 150 at-bats this season. The homers will come as Happ has four 20-homer seasons on his resume.--Matt T - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. He added two singles, scored twice, struck out, and drew a walk. The 30-year-old stuffed the stat sheet on Thursday, but like most of his teammates, did most of his damage once Pirates starter Paul Skenes exited the contest. Happ has been a run-scoring machine in 2025, collecting 26 in 32 outings -- one behind fellow outfielder Kyle Tucker for fifth-most in the league. He's traded some of his power for contact this season, bolstering a .279 average with an xBA of .297 (88th percentile). Furthermore, the former first-round pick has dipped his strikeout rate to a solid 16.7%. If those figures hold, they'd easily be career-bests.--Alex Ciulla

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ hit a grand slam en route to a massive day at the plate in the Cubs' 13-11 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Happ went three-for-five at the plate with four RBI and two runs. He's now hitting for a .691 OPS on the season. The 30-year-old's big day was much needed as he's performed below his norms to start this season, coming in with a .631 OPS, well below the .782 OPS he posted in 2024. He'll have a tough test keeping this up on Saturday against Arizona's scheduled starter Zac Gallen. Happ is just 3-16 in his career against Gallen. Fantasy managers will still want him in their starting lineups but DFS managers may be able to find better options to plug into their lineups.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller
