Ian Happ Drives In Three Runs Sunday
Ian Happ went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in to help the Cubs secure a convincing 15-7 victory over the Reds on Sunday. During the seventh inning, Happ smacked a single to tie the game at 5-5. Then, in the top of the ninth frame, the 29-year-old hit a double to extend the Cubs lead to 15-7. He is now slashing .248/.365/.429 to go along with 17 dingers and 72 RBI in 2023.

Ian Happ Still Sitting On Monday
Ian Happ (oblique) remains out of the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the visiting Miami Marlins at Wrigley Field. Happ is being considered day-to-day with oblique discomfort, but this will be the third straight game that he has missed. If the 30-year-old's absence extends further into this week and weekend, it could quickly become an injured-list situation. The good news is he was able to take swings in the batting cage on Sunday. Seiya Suzuki is starting in left field and batting third, while catcher Carson Kelly is serving a the designated hitter on Monday and batting fifth against Marlins right-hander Cal Quantrill. Suzuki has two hits and two RBI in four career at-bats against Quantrill, while Kelly also has two hits and an RBI in his four at-bats against Quantrill. Suzuki will be the more popular DFS play on Monday with nine homers, 32 RBI and 21 runs on the season.

Ian Happ Remains Sidelined On Sunday
Ian Happ (oblique) remains out of the starting nine on Sunday when the Cubs play the final game of their three-game set against the New York Mets. Happ was unable to suit up on Saturday due to this oblique injury. However, the team noted this injury is not overly serious and that he should be considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next game on Monday evening against the Miami Marlins. Instead, Seiya Suzuki will cover left field for the second-straight contest. This opens the DH spot for Justin Turner. In addition, center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong will remain in the leadoff spot. This afternoon, the Cubs have streaming appeal in DFS facing Griffin Canning. UPDATE: Happ played catch and took swings on Sunday and is considered day-to-day. There's a chance he is back in the lineup as early as Monday's series opener against the Miami Marlins.

Ian Happ Absent On Saturday
Ian Happ (oblique) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the New York Mets. Happ reportedly felt something in his oblique following his first plate appearance on Friday. The switch-hitter stayed in the game, but will get Saturday night off as a precaution. It wouldn't be shocking to see Happ get the weekend off, but hopefully he'll be back in the lineup soon. For now, fantasy managers should consider Happ as day-to-day until more information is available. Seiya Suzuki will cover left field and bat third versus right-hander Tylor Megill.

Ian Happ Homers, Drives In Three Monday
Ian Happ had a big game in a 9-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Happ went 1-for-3 with a homer and three RBI to help power the Cubs to the win. The veteran outfielder opened up the scoring when he launched a two-run homer in the bottom of the third inning and later came back to add a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Happ is now hitting .287 with three homers, 29 runs, 19 RBI, and one steal across 150 at-bats this season. The homers will come as Happ has four 20-homer seasons on his resume.
