9 months agoCincinnati Reds relief pitcher Ian Gibaut (forearm) appears to be in danger of missing Opening Day. Reds' manager David Bell recently mentioned that Gibaut has yet to resume throwing after being shut down last week. The 30-year-old is still recovering from a forearm issue and is considered "close" for Opening Day. The right-hander was a viable option out of the bullpen for the Reds last season. He could see a few save chances, but Alexis Diaz is the primary closer in Cincinnati.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
