Hunter Strickland Blows First Save, Picks Up Win
7 years agoSan Francisco Giants closer Hunter Strickland blew his first save of the season Tuesday evening. Strickland served up a solo home run to Paul Goldschmidt to tie the game in the top of the ninth inning. Strickland was bailed out by outfielder Andrew McCutchen’s game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth to give Strickland his first win of the season. Owners shouldn’t worry too much about the blown save, as Strickland didn’t allow a run all spring and it was the first run he has allowed in six innings this year.
