Hunter Renfroe Launches Homer Number 30
5 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe cranked his 30th home run Thursday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Renfroe continued his dominance of left-handed pitching by taking starter Clayton Kershaw deep for a solo shot, his only hit in five plate appearances. With the trade of Franmil Reyes, Renfroe is back full-time in his native right field position and should start every day for the rest of the year. Renfroe faded a bit in July with a .677 OPS but is still slashing a healthy .237/.297/.566 with 108 runs-plus-RBI in 2019. While the average is mediocre, an outside shot at 50 homers makes Renfroe playable in any fantasy format.
