Hunter Long Carted Off Field
3 years agoMiami Dolphins tight end Hunter Long (knee) left practice on a cart Sunday after appearing to injure his left knee. Long was selected in the third round of this year's NFL draft out of Boston College. The injury came on a crossing-route reception, where Long was pushed out of bounds and did not put weight on the leg after that. He is a talented pass-catcher who scored five touchdowns in 11 games last season for Boston College. Camp reports indicated that Long was impressing and poised for a role in Miami's offense this coming season. Currently, he sits behind Mike Gesicki, who finished as the TE7 in 2020. While Long is currently going undrafted in most leagues, he could have presented late-round value in deeper redraft leagues and dynasty. It's worth keeping an eye on his injury status.
