3 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Hunter Harvey (oblique) was activated from the 60-day injured list on Friday. Harvey indicated that he is ready to pitch without any restrictions. It is expected that Harvey will be used in high leverage situations immediately making him a candidate for those in leagues that reward holds. Though Cesar Valdez lost the closer role in Baltimore due to recent struggles, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde stated that Paul Fry will likely take over closing duties. Of course, should Fry struggle in the role, Harvey could be the next man up to handle save opportunities. Prior to his injury, Harvey allowed four earned runs in 8 2/3 innings pitched while striking out six and walking two in 10 relief appearances this season.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
