Hunter Greene Allows No Hits Over 7 1/3 Innings
3 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene had the most impressive start of his young career thus far in Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He pitched 7 1/3 innings and didn't allow a single hit while striking out nine batters. Unfortunately, he walked five batters and allowed a run to score on a fielder's choice play in the eighth inning. The Reds weren't able to provide any run support for him, so he wound up with his sixth loss in the game. The rookie now sits at 1-6 with a 6.21 ERA on the season. He'll look to build off Sunday's outing in his next trip to the mound, which will be next Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
