Hunter Gaddis Gets The Starting Nod Wednesday
2 years agoCleveland Guardians starting pitcher Hunter Gaddis will start Wednesday's contest against the Oakland A's. It was a tough season opener for the right-hander in Seattle as he yielded four earned runs on five hits and a walk across just 3 2/3 innings of work. He struck out four in the outing and did not factor into the decision. When factoring in his two starts with the Guardians from last season, Gaddis now owns a 15.55 ERA across his first three MLB starts but fared much better at Triple-A last season where he hurled a 3.60 ERA and a 30.9% K% across nine starts. His second matchup of the season against a weak A's offense presents a far greater opportunity than his first in Seattle.
