Hunter Dozier Hits Two-Run Single In First At-Bat
4 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier made his first appearance of the year on Sunday after sitting out due to a positive COVID-19 test prior to the season. He started at first base and hit clean-up in the game. In his very first at-bat, he hit a single that scored the first two runs of the game. It would end up being his only hit of the game. Dozier will give a boost to a Royals offense that has really been hitting its stride lately. Jorge Soler, Salvador Perez and Whit Merrifield are all off to strong starts this year and Dozier's presence will benefit all of them.
