Homer Bush Jr. Traded To Tampa Bay
4 months agoSan Diego Padres outfield prospect Homer Bush Jr. is being traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in the package that sent Jason Adam to San Diego. Prior to the trade, Bush Jr. was ranked as the eighth-best prospect in the San Diego pipeline. The former fourth-round selection in last year's draft has spent the entire summer with High-A Fort Wayne. Across 86 games, the Grand Canyon University product has held a .272/.362/.347 line with four home runs, 16 RBI, and an eye-catching 43 stolen bases. Since June 30, Bush has been swinging an awfully hot bat as he has posted a stellar .343 AVG and .400 OBP. The 22-year-old could push for a promotion to Double-A later this summer and will likely reach the majors in 2026.
