Homer Bailey Traded To Athletics
5 years agoThe Kansas City Royals have dealt starting pitcher Homer Bailey to the Oakland Athletics prior to Sunday's game. Bailey was a late scratch from his scheduled start versus the Detroit Tigers, as Brian Flynn replaced him with the reason unknown at the time, but now we have confirmation of the trade. Bailey has found success lately with a 2.48 ERA and a 3-0 record over his last five starts and will likely face the Mariners later this week for his first start on his new club. Unfortunately, he's extremely unreliable, holding an underwhelming 4.80 ERA and 1.41 WHIP on the season and should only be on the AL-only radar, at best. The improved ballpark factor and lineup behind him could help him find a few more wins, but there's not a lot of fantasy value here.
